The ‘Get On Board’ stage 2 is a pilot project funded by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) with the aim of making it easier to access information and use public transport services in the City of Playford.
The public transport system can seem complex if you haven’t caught a bus/ train/tram for a long time or maybe never.

Do you feel unsafe or have you lost confidence in the public transport system?
Do you find it confusing or difficult to access public transport information in a world of internet ,apps and smart phones?

WHAT IS TRAVEL COMPANION?
Aimed at new users or people who feel less confident in using public transport in the City of Playford, our volunteer Travel Companion service is designed to accompany you on one or several journeys and explain to you how to use public transport.
We believe, once you are familiar and confident with the public transport system, you can travel just about anywhere in metropolitan Adelaide. Our volunteer based Travel Companion services make it easier by providing:
Personalised Travel Companion services from your nearest bus or train station.
Step by step training and education on how use public transport including how to install and plan your journey using metroMATE
HOW DO I ARRANGE A TRAVEL COMPANION TO ASSIST ME?
Please call Catalyst Foundation on (08) 8168 8776 to book a trip. Alternatively let us know your interest by providing your Name, contact number , address and brief message about yourself to getonboard@catalystfoundation.com.au . We will take care rest for you.
IS THERE A COST TO ACCESS THE GET ON BOARD SERVICES?
There is no cost for the ‘Get On Board’ services including Travel Companion services during the project. (September2018 to mid-March 2019). Clients are required to purchase a ticket to travel on the bus/tram/train when using Travel Companion services.
