Digital Literacy

Catalyst Foundation is committed to keeping you connected to technology, especially during these uncertain times. We offer a wide-range of webinars on many different digital literacy topics, such as online shopping and banking, scam safety, what to look for when purchasing a tablet, and more. Some of our webinars are presented by our experienced, friendly, patient volunteers; some are presented by outside speakers such as our “regular” Richard Pascoe, the very well-respected “Adelaide Tech Guy”. Richard presents on webinar topics such as how to navigate the cloud, and how to ensure your digital affairs are managed safely and efficiently after you’re gone.

Additionally, on the first Tuesday of every month, when Covid restrictions allow, our wonderful trainers and volunteers offer a variety of in-person presentations. Upcoming topics include how to make the most of your iPhone (including how to turn it on and adjust the volume settings!) and how to sell your “stuff” online using popular e-commerce sites such as eBay and Facebook Marketplace.

So whether you already are a whiz at computers or just getting started, Catalyst Foundation offers a variety of opportunities for older adults to embrace digital literacy.

If you wish to attend one of our webinars or classes, book a one-on-one session with a volunteer, or if you want to know more, call us at 8168 8776.

We also offer a free internet lounge (which is temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19 situation)

You can visit our videos on our YouTube channel to brush up on your digital literacy anytime!
